In December 2008 I bought a HP MediaSmart EX475 server running Windows Home Server edition. After upgrading the ridiculous low 512 MB of RAM to 2 GB I’m now very pleased with this small and silent server.
Besides all the normal features like automatic backup, streaming music and movies etc a cool aspect of the Windows Home Server is the .NET based Home Server Console which you can write your own add-ins to. On this page I’ll post the add-ins I’ve created.
