I suspect that you have turned media sharing on also in Microsoft’s media sharing addin located under “Settings” in the Windows Home Server Console. This might cause a conflict.

Hi Pal,

I have your pluggin running (v 1.0.0.2) and it works great with the exception that whenever the server gets restarted it reverts back to the original default settings.

Have you heard of this and know of a fix?

The Media Connect configuration application is written by Microsoft, my add-in simple starts the application and docks it inside the WHS console. This is something you can do with most exe files. So I cannot take credit for the Media Connect stuff, only the simple add-in that launches is and docks it inside the console.

I installed your add in and re-started WHS, but now when I open the console it is just a blue screen. The server is still up and I can access the folders, so I tried deleting the add-in but still get the blue screen.

Thoughts?

Right, version 1.0.0.2 is out. Uses %ProgramFiles% environment variable so it should now also work with non-english WHS languages. Leave a comment if it still does not work.

You are absolutely right. I’ve been lazy and hard coded that path. Will make a new version and release it as soon as I can.
