There are several small pins sticking out of the DVD-Kids remote (on the top of the flat surface where you put the programming card). In order to enter "programming mode" all those pins must be held down while you program. The original card is quite stiff and has a magnet that ensures all the pins are pushed down when the card is placed on the remote.

hi,
Thank You for the information. However, i am still not able to connect this with the DVD-player! I have printed the prog. card that you posted here. my question is: What do mean by holding all the pins down? how shall i do that? We have Philips DVD (home theater), is this compatible with the DVD kids. I am just not good at all in technical things, i bought this for my child (second-hand) and i now i just feel guilty for not being able to activate it for him :(

Hi,

Thanks for posting - I had lost the programming card and it helped to know that I needed to cover all holes. That said - even with the tape it does not work every time (maybe only 1 times out of 5... so keep trying until you hear the double bip!)

I wanted to correct one of your comments - you can manually program the remote control even without the codes (but you still need the programming card). This is very useful if your DVD player is not listed. Here's the procedure:
1. insert card
2. press blue button for 2 seconds / hear 2 bips
3. Place your DVd's remote control 5 cm from the DVD-kids and press the button TITLE / hear 2 bips
4. press the blue button / 1 bip
5. press the DVD play / 2 bips
6. yellow button / 1 bip
7. press dvd pause / 2 bips
8. press at the same time on the DVd-kids blue and 2 button / 1 bip
9. press the OK button of the DVD remote / 2 bips
10. press dvd-kids button 1 / 1 bip
11/ press remote control button 1 / 2 bips
12. repeat the above 2 steps for buttons 2 to 9
13. press blue 2 seconds / 2 bips
14. remove programming card

Between each step, no more than 20 seconds.
At any step if the DVD kids does a long bip, just start that step again.

Anna: Unfortunately the DVD-Kids remote is not programmable. If your DVD make or model is not listed then it is not much you can do. There are no Logik models on the list at all.

Dear Pål,
I have this dvd-kids set too. It works correctly with our Sony dvd player at home, but I'd like to use it on our LOGIK portable dvd player too. (http://www.ciao.co.uk/Logik_DVP_705_E__6595289). The list not contains any codes for this. I checked that this is also infrared control, like dvd-kids.
Do you have any idea how to find a code for it, or a code for universal use?
Thx, Anna
